I've been in this situation before and that's why I'll always tell people to not grow too attached to people. The only expectations that you can have for others is that they'll only look out for themselves.
If this lady truly values your friendship, she will come back. I'm sorry that things ended this way.
I would also tell you to be careful what you say because even though you wouldn't share someone's secrets, we cannot have the same expectations. I've had someone use against me things that I've shared and it left me with a hole.
Please give your friend some time and allow things to work out in their own way. What's meant for you will come to you.
This is a lesson on why you should never use other people as a foundation to build your metal 'house' upon. It will tear down the whole house when they themselves become unstable.
I suggest you work on yourself, by yourself, and only build bridges between you and other people. You can burn a bridge if they become toxic and it won't shake your establishment of self (your house) down to the ground.
