There’s this guy that I was working with that I have been seeing on and off for the past few months and lately I’ve just been noticing a pattern of me coming over to his house and hanging out with him, and then we wouldn’t hear from each other for a few days unless I reach out. I feel like I initiate conversation with him most of the time and I’m not trying to be in a one sided situationship. I left one of my things over at his house and was going to ask for it back and while I’m there I want to talk to him about it. Any advice?

You should find out how interested this guy is in you.
If he likes you: talk about how you feel, or try to get a read on what he wants from you.
I personally hardly reach out first, even to close friends, it just makes me feel like a burden.
If he doesn't like you: then you have your answer on his disinterest.
If you wish to remain friends after that, it still might be okay to tell him "Hey, I'd like for you to text first or invite me over sometimes, too."
You may or may not also need to be clear with him, some guys are just oblivious.
I'm sorry if I'm assuming you're wanting to date this guy, but no matter what, whether it's a friendship or a relationship, communication goes a long way when done correctly.
Sorry that answer is all over the place, I am inebriated.
