Man here who has worked in restaurants and bars, where cleaning up the toilets were part of the job description. Women's toilets were by far - by far - the dirtier. Most men would rather use the urinals instead, and while the aim issue can be a thing, it's a lot easier to clean a urinal than a toilet cubicle. I've seen bloodied tampons pasted on walls, the bathroom door, underneath the toilet, and on the ledge in between stalls. Also, the only time I found someone had actually broken the toilet seat itself was in the ladies' washroom.
By far women and I closed at a rec centre for about 5 years. You women do unspeakable things to toilet stalls... Men with urinals sometimes take a loose firehose approach which can get messy but it’s easy to spray down/clean compared to women’s garbage left all over the place.
TLDR: how does someone even get a tampon on the ceiling in the first place?
Whenever I see a women's restroom that's too gross for me, I'd snap a pic and send it to my fiance. In response, he sends me a pic of an absolutely disgusting men's restroom followed by a remark "Game Over!" So, with that said, I'd say the men mess up public restrooms more... a lot more!
I’ve never been into a male restroom so I wouldn’t know. I don’t think the girls restrooms are gross, the ones I’ve been to have been very clean at least but there has been a few bits of bitchy graffiti written in some of the stalls
Where there are ladies restrooms they are generally fine but in stores and restaurants where toilet cubicles are unisex, the seats sometimes can be off putting to sit on.
The funny thing is for me I don’t sit on the toilet, I hover. Getting pee on it. I can’t help it.
I think women mess up bathrooms more than men.

The things you find written on the inside of the bathroom wall or the Outhouse or stall walls is what men are actually thinking about all the time that's that's what they're thinking about and that's the one place that they feel free that they can they can express themselves.
u As a janitor I can say without a doubt it's women guys sure will pee on the floor but never in my life did I expect to find blood on toilet seats that's actually nasty
Of course guys are much dirtier pee on the seat toilet, paint the walls, and maybe have nastier poops (ie diarrhea) without flushing….
BUUUUT. In my experience, girls are able to make giant long turds more than men.
Still boys are messier by far
From my experience working in restaurants, the clubs and bars, the ladies room usually the most terrifying at the end if the night.
I honestly can't say cuz i have saw some Female Restrooms that were dirtier then guys restrooms when i use to patrol on rounds , so Girls can be real nasty as well lol
In my experience of cleaning toilets part time, it would have to be women by far. Clean up your blood!

As someone who was the cart pusher at a national retailer... I can tell you first hand that the womens restroom was consistently worse
I've worked on both. Men are by far the worst. No one wants to touch the seat so they just piss all over it.
Maybe because they "mark the territory" in the most idiotic and disgusting way possible?

I don't know I have seen both an both cam be messy depending on how toddy a person is at home they will be the same in a public restroom
