everyone always thinks i’m happy all the time since i’m funnny and i try to smile at people and I talk A LOt so no one ever asks if anything is wrong. My family isn’t the best and so that’s why i guess i try to be happy cause i’m not a lot of the time. I love my family we just don’t get along and they love my brothers more lol. I also get nervous and start making everything seem funny like i can’t cry without laughing. Like i’m tempted to type lol again to make myself feel better.
Well, in my experience, yes. But I won't generalise.
Not necessarily, but many have to put on a face and a fake attitude so other people don't know.
But once people know, there is no need for faces or attitude.
Why'd you have to remind me of robin Williams...

I think that there are some people who put on a happy face to hide the pain they feel deep down. Sometimes that class clown image becomes a lifestyle more than just a mask. I've known many people like that. I think that in some cases people go through life playing a carachter. That can lead a person into the entertainment business because they realize that their defense mechanism is actually a marketable skill that makes people happy. But not all people who appear really happy are sad deep down. And not all entertainers are emotionally troubled.
thats not something you can claim as a general statement! Some people are in fact, actually just, happy... I have no idea how they do it, but it is a thing actually. Some play and have layers of pretending, some don´t. Some are suffering from delusions to such an extend, that they think they are happy, but quite actually is angry and vice versa. Some never heard of Trump or experienced a volcano erupting around them, so they don´t know any better than being happy...
People are different and questions like this cannot be generalized !!!
No. Happy people are happy. I know. :)
The thing young people need to understand is that you don't DESERVE ANYTHING, not even to be 'happy'. You get what you get for the work and effort you put in, just like everybody else. We have this whole crop of people with this entitlement mentality, and I think it comes from being told their entire life that they deserve this and deserve that - you deserve to be happy, you deserve to find a mate, etc. etc. It's just not reality.
Happiness doesn't come from someone else or some external source or force - it comes from within. You work at being the most awesome YOU that YOU can be, you find success in your endeavors and your relationships, and that brings gratification, satisfaction, and HAPPINESS. No other person is going to make you happy, nor 'complete you'. So many falsehoods and beliefs out there. Time to put the required work in.
No. People could mean anyone and everyone handles their emotions differently. I know people who are depressed and they just sit alone in their dark house. And even when they are in a crowded room surrounded by family and friends, they'll still be sad. But then they're others like myself, who can be happy but become depressed once I come home. "People" also means everyone. Children always seem like the happiest bc of how carefree they are, and they usually aren't happy and putting up a front bc they are sad. I think people who are depressed or sad are usually people who are intelligent. Maybe it has to do w a certain part of our brains being more developed or a chemical. I don't know.
Ok. So i votet no but only because it wouldn't let me comment without voting. Truth be told, you can't tell what a person is truly feeling unless you are that person. Yes some people may appear happy even though deep down they are truly deppressed. But it can be the same the other way too. Some people may seem sad, when really they are just shy. Whist others happiness may only be resilience over things they are dealing with. The truth is, taking a vote on others emotions isn't really possible. Yes we may be able to have an idea of how somone is feeling, but even the most well trained of psychiatrists may not be able to determine a persons true feelings 100 percent. It would be nice if we could though because im sure it would save many lives.
I voted yes. The people with the greatest positive experiences in their lives are also the people with the greatest negative experiences in their life. If your joy is limited, your suffering will also be limited. At least this is true if you live in Canada or a country where we aren't starving to death.
Canada land of Joy and happiness
Sometimes. I suffer from depression. I was asked to quit my meds, they said it makes me act like a zombie. so I did.
Three days later my mother passed, I didn't resume
Eight months after that, my father passed, I didn't resume..
I found that making people laugh works a lot better than those meds.
Seriously!
No. It's funny how you use Robin Williams as an example when no here in fact knew him, or his personal life. You never truly know what anyone is going through, or how they're truly feeling... only what they choose to tell you.
His wife did come out and say he killed himself because he had dementia and didn’t want to spend his last days in the funny farm.
Not all of them.
There are some people that are genuinely happy and are content with the life that they have. Of course life doesn't come without its share of hardships, but how we choose to approach the issue is how we can keep going and survive.
No it's not even close to true as there is a difference between true happiness and putting on a mask off happiness
I think so.. people rarely ask those who seem happy if they are okay.
A lot of funny people are deeply dad ok my experience. That's not to say they all are but. It's more then you'd think and I'm never terribly surprised to find out a comedian I like struggles with their mental health
probably... no one is always happy unless they high or have a good life
perhaps you mean are the most outwardly happy people on earth the most sad
because if one is truly happy then they are not sad at the same time
What you mean to say is that depression and anxiety can often be hidden so good that we would never guess that person had mental issues of such. That guy in the picture had major depression and anxiety issues. The thing with people like this is that they often have some sort of escape. Something that makes them happy and when they are in that state they make the most of it.
probably, joy is better.
The happiest people are often the most innocent, or those who have experienced the most pain and come to understand it in a way that benefits them in life.
Robin Williams was good at faking it, and he focused on others to the exclusion of himself.
Not this Master Here, dear...
Although Robin Williams was a Depressed man who was on Meds, I found out Sadly... He was Murdered. xx
He killed himself , trust me. He was always neurotic even in his act. Could never sit still.
Truly happy ones aren't, the ones who pretends to be very happy and make others laugh and smile all the time are.
Are the people who seem the happiest the saddest?
I don't think so
I come across as very happy and I am very happy.
Ummm, if you're the happiest person, I highly doubt you can be sad😂😂... Like that really makes no sense bro!
The thing we call face of sadness and you would never know that them people where ever sad. The ones that tend to want everyone else laugh and be happy is often the saddest people among us. But not always.
In robin Williams case he wasn’t “happy “ like you post, being the funny guy doesn’t mean you’re happy. Being funny and making jokes was just his way of coping with that depression
Yeah. It's usually a bunch of fakes smiles and laughter to cover up their misery.
I wonder this too. I laugh and joke a lot. I make others laugh and have a good time. But they would never want to know what really goes on in my mind.
Depressed people often look happy when out in public. It is one of the ways we try to hide our misery.
People who try to make others happy are sometimes sad themselves. Not all the time. But they try to make many others happy because they are unable to be happy themselves.
Pretending to be happy to the outside world =/= actually being happy.
That is a contradiction... maybe you are talking about the people who pretend to be happy...
No-- the smarter people are usually the most sad. Robin Williams was very intelligent. Many geniuses are sad for most of their lives.
That is a contradiction. You can not be both happy and sad at the same time. Unless you are a lady. Then you can experience all emotions simultaneously.
Comedians are but there are genuinely happy people.
That's contradiction. But very often sad people portray happy image of themselves.
I'd like this question more if it stated "Are the funniest people usually the saddest ones?"
How can you be happy and sad? Think about that statement.
Gonna say no.
Sometimes you can see through people if they pretend to be happy.
you mean the happiest acting are the saddest? Sometimes
No, those two words are in direct conflict with each other. Maybe what you wanted to say was "Are the people who seem the happiest actually the saddest?"
People who are mean to others are unhappy people.
A truly happy person would never try to make another person feel sad
Only if they’re good at faking it
You meant the *funniest* people.
Think about that question.
Thats literally an oxymoron.
That doesn’t even make any sense.
No it just sucks being a guy, straight up.
Yes they are its true
then they are not happy
it sucks being a guy
Happy people are sad deep down
It's a generalisation but it happens too often
God I hope not as I'm happy
They look for validation too much
As i expected, girls follow this kinda bs as usual
Did do you forget
That can be true.
Not at all...
Yes.
Can confirm
Oxymoron.
What?
