Why are women always bashed for being hypergamous?

Men always complain about women being hypergamous but I don’t see many men falling in love with ugly short broke women either. We all want someone who is good looking and who is financially comfortable. Men care more about look and women care more about money, that’s it. This situation is even more unfair with women because a woman have no control over her facial beauty, unless she have enough money to get cosmetic surgery and even if she does she will be labeled as a fake beauty, but at least you can have a chance to get rich and successful, which is the reason why we see many ugly rich dudes with pretty young girls. If you claim that look and status doesn’t play a role in making someone attractive to you then you’re either a liar or a monk

, I just wanted to say, that this calculated exchange, the young beautiful woman who is with the rich ugly dude. But, really she is little more than a whore. And the ugly rich man, in my opinion is even more pathetic. I never understood how anyone would enter into such an "arrangement" farce-of-a-marriage.

So, to me this whole thing seems like it's essentially an argument in favor of being shallow.

You say men care about looks more, and women care about money more. I don't think that's at all true. I agree that looks play a role, but they play a role for women as well... UNLESS you decide to 'sell yourself in marriage' to a guy who you wouldn't be with, except for his money (the short ugly rich guy).

So it's not that looks aren't just as important to women,... in fact your argument suggests that they, in fact, are important to women. You simply argue that money IS SO MUCH MORE IMPOORTANT to women, that you are willing to "lower your standards for the right price.'

There's nothing admirable in that. Sorry, nothing personal..., but to me this whole thing seems like a twisted position.

It makes it really hard to build and maintain a working society around you.

Female hypergamy is great for living in the jungle, don't get me wrong.

But for living in a modern society with social contracts and shit? Why should the majority of men agree to be civilized and show up for work in the morning when their only reward is to be totally ignored and treated like shit by women?

Women are going to have to start working 40 hours a day to make up for all the men dropping out of the labor force.

I also agree that hypergamy should not be shamed. But personally, I don’t see how another person can participate in that behavior. It would make me feel like a fuck doll if all I had to return was good looks in exchange for wealth.
And honey, I’m fine as hell but that is not my defining characteristic.

In that sort of exchange you are referencing the is just a joke... It's no trusting, healthy, or meaningful relationship if you are solely with someone for their looks or for their money... Sure people do it, a lot of people are self destructive when it comes to relationships, it doesn't mean that's what everyone strives for.
You talked about old guys but if you speak to young guys, they are not going to marry a woman and bring them to their family just because they are pretty. In a long lasting parter sure you want physical attraction, but you want heavy moral and ethical qualities. If it's just for looks and infatuation you don't marry the girl you just have fun with her that's it...

Then you're either blind, stupid or just lying. Choose one of the three. Even women who are mentally and physically disabled are getting married nowadays. There are thousands of thirsty desperate men who will compromise for any woman no matter how abusive or ugly she is. I've seen men marrying bitches who were abusing them on a daily basis. Because it's hypocritical and evidence of lack of true love and respect for self and others; in other words, being a thot. Ultimately, individuals like this lose the respect of their partners because the partner realises their true motive (s). Because most women get mean when an average looking guy wants to approach her and always seek for a way to find more attention.
Whereas most guys I know out there would fancy any approach from any female.
Also most average looking girls have higher standards, which makes them ridiculous while some guys tend to handle such situations more mature.

It's been proven that a woman's status has very little on her overall attractiveness. Men have to be attractive AND have status to be "loved" (A woman's love for a man isn't exactly love, she's only capable of loving her children)
