Which is worse: a splinter or paper cut?

Well, they are both very painful. but overall, paper cuts are worse. When we look at paper, it feels really smooth but, microscopically, paper is actually very rough so when we cut our finger on paper, its not actually a straight line and that's why it hurts so much.

lol i say paper cut because they are wider and itll always sting when you wash your hands. a splinter is just a small puncture which is relieved after the splinter itself is removed

When I was younger and I got splinters, I was so scared it would get lodged inside forever!

With a paper cut at least the source is out and most paper cuts I've dealt with luckily weren't so deep that I had to worry about them!

Some splinter sources may carry infections or even tetanus!

Just be careful that's all...

Source: My life and how my older nice cousin would always have tweezers ready for me if I suffered a splinter at a young age! She was such a nice cousin! Felt more like an older sister really! Took good care of me when I was young!

Gonna have to say splinter because if it’s thick/deep enough, you really will have to pick it out with tweezers. All you have to do is pour hand sanitizer on paper cuts and the pain is gone.

Splinter. Splinters can gouge themselves into you and cause immense pain along with being very hard to get out if they go deep enough, sometimes splinters require people to go to the hospital because sometimes it requires certain tools to get it out. Papercuts on the other hand aren't that serious.

now some splinters can stay and live within under the skin

Paper cuts. I can "tease" out my splinters in less then 30 seconds or so. Virtually no healing, as the skin pretty much closes over the "hole". Paper cuts will take a week or so to heal.

Hint- For those who work with paper all day, use a thick hand cream a couple times a day to help maintain your skin's moisture level. It's much easier to slice dry skin.

I was going to say some stupid shit about the paper cut being worse being i can't remember a day the last 20 years i haven't had a bleeding asshole, my diet is terrible.

But Im going to have to go splinter, though i do quite enjoy digging those out but it sucks if you dont have the right light or tools to get them out etc.

Splinter, easy. Paper cuts hurt yeah, but they heal quick and don't hurt for long. Splinter though, those things not only hurt but they can get stuck and you'll need to get tweezers to get those suckers out. And if you do that wrong, it hurts even worse.

In high school I was at home using a wood handled ax when the handle split and I had a good 4inch splinter in my palm , the worst of it was that it came out in two pieces in two days...
