I used this term today for the first time and someone in my chat room explained to me that only people who were Native Americans were supposed to use. She said it in a nice way. I'm not sure if I'm really not supposed to use it.
Really? I think that's them being overly sensitive. I chose to use that term 'spirit' as it was the most fitting I could think of. Native Indians don't have a monopoly on respect or love of nature.
They're big. They fly. In fact the evidence is they were great aeronauts. They ate fish (I like fish). Their eyesight was excellent! And they lived in the Age of Dinosaurs! How awesome is that? If I could not be a pterodactyl, I suppose I would like to be an owl. They fly. They are excellent aeronauts. Both their hearing and eyesight are fantastic. I like what they symbolize. And they are, in my opinion, the most beautiful of birds!
Come to think of it, dragonflies are awesome. They're better aeronauts than any animal I've listed. They can pull 9 g's (HIIIIIIIIIGHWAY TOOO THE DANGER ZONE!). Their eyesight is fantastic and with a 360 degree view! AND they see colors that we humans cannot see! Imagine that! Seeing unimaginable colors never experienced by any human. And the sun changes color depending on its angle to them (bees too). It's how they navigate. And dragonflies are beautiful animals!
Come to think of it, I wanna be a dragonfly instead of a pterodactyl.
Okaaaay then. Switched over it is. Got you down. Check check. Glad I asked you because I had a toootally different dinosaur in my head. What's the one with all the spiky things down its back that is on land? Yeah, that one is badass but pterodcatyl seems more... capable/agile.
These can always be interesting tests, but nothing related to the real Spirit Guides of some of the Native Ways. Kind of like Fortune Cookies in Chinese restaurants! :) :)
