What you do isn't their fault if they make their choices for themselves while choosing to be your friends, supporting you and your choices. That just seems like classism to think that you can't be friends with someone who doesn't have goals that are as grand as yours.

Agree, particularly during your formative years (school and college). It get murkier when you start working. Working with folks that just want to make a ton of money without any other motivation would stink. Goals are still a good thing though.

Yes but you will only associate with people that fit with you so being a success requires associating with successful people but hanging with downers and doom merchants will leave you just like them
