When I was born my parents had a GS and her name was Lady. Heard stories about how intelligent she was. They were concerned she might be jealous of me but quite the opposite, Lady became very protective of me:)

Thank you! I haven’t adopted it yet but I went to the shelter and saw it recently. I had one when I was a kid and he was such a smart and loving boy! Naming them after kings and queens is cool haha.

It just seemed fitting because for me they are the kings of the dogworld. Just don't mention that they are dogs. Mine used to look at us everytime we dropped him off at doggie day care like "What am I doing here? These are dogs? Peasants! Don't they have a Shepherd Day Care somewhere?" He loves going there now.

I used to think if I ever had animals I'd just call them by the word for that animal in a different language. You could have 50 dogs and still not run out of ways to say "dog" if you only used languages nobody spoke in your area.
