Well firstly because I don't understand the desire to. Secondly because most of the people doing it are judging based on primarily the jerks they have encountered in dating. But men and women equally have horror stories. You can't bash an entire gender based on the fact that some jerk treated you poorly.
I think the main thing is if you have a different opinion than the published main "opinion" it means that what you think and is saying is false and not real in terms of whatever question your answering or adding your opinion to. That your pitting the man especially in certain topics such as bisexuality, mens height, size of dick, what is and isn't liked in sex, mens feelings, typical gender roles. All of which seem to get over apportioned and questioned it's crap but it's life unfortunately
It shows the believer is simple minded and likely stupid. While memebers of a certain gender are more like to have certain characteristic assuming every single member or at least 99% of them falls into your description is wrong. For examples, saying all women had at least a period in their life is dofferent from saying all women cheated at some point.
The issue is that stupid people can still act and spreading such prejudices may lead to bad things happening.
When women complain about things men do that I have not or never will do and it's clear they're complaining about them because the men in their personal life exhibit these traits, all the while it's likely the women chose these men and it's obvious they were going to have these traits to begin with.
Also, when people complain about something a gender does while being ignorant as to how everyone else feeds into the reason they do it.
Isk if its gender bashing but i had a guy i talked to at one point in his mid forties tell me on our first date talk about rape. He said that if a girl wore short or skimpy clothes, drank too much , and got raped it was her fault, not the males because she's basically putting out a sign asking for it.
Really shocking because he was a really positive person and said that out of the blue.
I don't know that this new "Smash" BS word means, and I hate when people just make up stupid word, or re-purpose, legitimate words, for some Social Slang activity! I think women are at least EQUALS, and sometimes, maybe better than most men! I try to do my best to use the right words, and sometimes it isn't because I mean anything bad, just that I came from a generation, parents, and some roles were assumed, and trying to change all of that! Too easily, with just plain text, people misunderstand, and don't really know the INTENT, or the other, and misinterpret the words, and sometimes those words, that are so normal to some, in one generation, are offensive to others, in another generation! I can only speak for me, but there is NEVER any BAD intent! I have guy friends, and know women, at work, and they talk A LOT OF SHT, about their wives, husbands, boyfriend/girlfriend, and I have to walk away, or call them out on it.
@Brainsbeforebeauty It is NEW to American English, meaning sex, as I checked it online, and it said: "to violently break (something) into pieces" WTF does that have to do with any sexual thing I would want to do!! It is slang, made-up BS CRAP words for mainstream society, and unfortunately, the intelligent ones must seem to adapt to the "Knuckle-Draggers" of society, ONCE AGAIN!! Let's just keep lowering the standards, until we get to Idiocracy!! Oh, WAIT!! THAT WAS A PROPHETIC MOVIE:: Idiocracy!! Check it out! It's a SAD JOKE!!
If you don't like the way I word a question, you always have the choice not to read it reply.. .π€·πΌββοΈ It was an attempt at humor because this is a powder keg of a topic... You don't have to like or get the joke.
@Brainsbeforebeauty I wasn't pissing in your Cheerios!! I AM NEVER PURPOSELY offending you!! I like you, and consider you a Friend! If I post something, and you are thinking, "WHAT A DCK!" then you have misunderstood!! Please understand that!! Text doesn't let you see facial expressions, and subtle nuances, that signal the sarcasm, or other whimsy!! :)
I don't really have an issue with gender bashing. I'm an individual, I have no reason to get offended about critique that doesn't apply to me. I'm sure it does apply to some people, but it's not like I'm going to get offended on their behalf.
If someone aims such a generalization at me in particular, I will tell them "well, I don't do that", and if they insist on their belief, then I guess I will shrug and go about with my life, because it's not like I care about changing their mind anyway.
Vashi g us women as a gender thing , can be pretty fair as I'd noticed most of my younger fellow sisters are very shallow and have dobbel standard for men, and we try to team men up against each other. And the horrible fact we usally only rate a guy on his physical appearance, must hurt men as hell. These things seems to have changed in the last 25 years due to online dating. When I started dating there weren't the too shallow Tinder , Tinder cause 1000 times more problems than make few happy. Physical features seems to be only thing younger girls se in a guy, while men typically only look for great personality in a girl, sad these things doesn't mean a thing for my you get fellow sisters anymore. Therefore men bashing us with a good reason
Who's we? I don't... That's the whole problem with assuming. You speaking for others but not the truth. A man's heart means more than his height to me.. Maybe you or some other women do, but to say all do is not true.
I agree too. It's mostly the internet pushing this anti-feminist, culture Marxist conspiracies theories and red pill knowledge bullshit. Too many people are brain-washed by it.
You end up bashing the gender than tell the truth. Its easier to quote some cliches reason it didn't work out instead of stating the truth. People who carry on those sour grapes have a harder time meeting someone. Can't get a better life with a bad attitude
Probably the worst is that sexualy active women are in someway evil, or impure. I had some responses from guys on a recent question, and I blocked them automatically because I was shocked at their responses, and some of them I had been talking too for years. I kind of hate these attitudes, hypocrites probably beat off to ATM porn three times a week.
I genuinely feel there is many things in life that does need to be called out and exposed for the nonsense it is. That is partly what you expect from a friend, partner or someone you trust. It is most definitely an necessity in life.
So bashing could be called for but bashing someone because of your preconception of a certain sex, that would be ridiculous. I feel this happens more on this website than you would experience in person.
It is beneficial to make generalizations in many cases. There are average differences between men and women, both mentally and physically. If you are in a spot where you need to make guesses about someoneβs personality, you will be more accurate if you base your assumptions off of a subjects sex. For example, if I wanted someone to take a picture of my girlfriend and I while we are on vacation, I should ask a woman because numerous studies have shown them to be far more agreeable on average. This means there is a better chance a woman will agree to help me than a man.
Ignorance Huge assumptions THis is So TrUe Bro you never talked to women how would you know that I talk to both men and women Their personality is a lot more compled than that so I like to avoid assuming things as much as possible
It's sad that people live in a me me world but when time to take responsibility for themselves they point the finger,,, what ever happen to the * your know what,, you right ,, I , was wrong * and GROW FROM IT ,,
People usually only use their bad experiences with a few people of the opposite sex to conclude that one gender is worst than the other. Just because you had a few bad experiences with a few people of one sex doesn't mean the entire sex is like that.
Anything that is in mentally the mind women don't do that or guys don't do that. E. G Women don't rape. It's really dumb to assume that one gender cannot do something or act the way of the others when there physically Capable to do so. Cause it's not even sterotyping at that point it's just you not undetstanding that something is phiscally possible. It's as dumb as not knowing that if you get ran over you could break your bones lol.
I clearly agree with you, every one is different and assumptions are bad. But still, there are some traits that are overall suit one gender than the others. Men are overall stronger, logical, better spatial cognition. Women are more flexible, better at multitasking, nurture, emotions. In conclusion, we are somewhat different and still should be equals. A research shows that men and women solve the same problems using different parts of the brain.
Since this wonβt apply evenly anywhere, it is not helpful. Only Perpetuates prejudice and false expectation as well as antagonism against those who do not fit that mold.
To recognize βdifferent have different strengths and solve the same problems differentlyβ is helpful.
@VIVANT I am not perpetuating prejudices, as I said, every one is different and there are exceptions for the traits, like a woman who is stronger than the average guy, but I am talking as the average of the whole. And I don't have a problem with people who don't fit the average traits. For example, I am an athlete and I like physically strong women.
I guess I donβt like how men act like good woman deserve to be treated like bad woman simply because the bad woman they want to criticize are not around to take the blame
Great point... a lot of it stems from bitterness, but makes no sense to take it out on all females cuz one hurt you, anymore than women should do that to men either!
I think the Biggest Issue is that everyone assumes just cause one Male or Female has problems with getting along does not mean the same thing happens with all people that they date/ have a relationship with?

Yeah sadly he's not the only guy who thinks like that
Wow really? I mean im sure some men think that but I've never heard a man outright say it. Especially at that age

I disagree there's both men and women who go by physical looks... And nothing you say are proven facts just more assumptions but okay...
But we tend to value a guy on he's height , while I seldom been valued on my height, and I'm insane tall , taller than 99% of all men

There's a lot of hypocrisy and double standards when it comes to gender issues and both men and women are guilty of that... So so agree π
