Would an albino black person be accepted as a white person back in the day where black people were looked down upon?

Down upon? May be a stupid question but I was just wondering what category an albino black person would be put under back then. Would they get the same privileges as white people did or what?

no. albino blacks don't have any melanin but they still have black features. you would still be able to tell by their skin and hair. you would never be able to mistake these people for white link black people would know they're black and white people would know they have black in them. the only way a black person would have been able to pass is if they were heavily mixed with enough white to make their skin really fair, features more european and hair straighter like these people link link link

There was a MTV True Life documentary on albinos and there was an African American one. You could still tell he was black from his hair and just his overall appearance, so I would say that he would've still been treated badly. I doubt he would have been treated with equal civil rights if we're going back to the slavery up until the abolishment of slavery and equal rights era.

Back in the days of abject racism in America, a light-skinned black person could possibly "pass" for white. However, if Jim Crow (white supremists) found out anyone had even so much as a smidgeon of black blood, that person was from then on personna non grata in white society. It's almost impossible to grasp the unabashed ignorance of racists.

Yep, witch doctors prize them for use in magic, and they're often hunted. I'm not sure where exactly this takes place either, but I remember watching some special about albinism on like National Geographic channel or something.
