by the way the middle book is not a hardcover like the other books below and above it. It was the only extra book I had for it.So the table is tempered glass so I can't use any metal or wood as a stand. And all the monitor stand I've seen at stores don't reach the great height that stacks of books do. Also, I was thinking about wall mounting my smaller monitor but I'm really bad at mounting things on the wall so I don't want to risk wall damage, nor have professionals come during the pandemic. And there's no room on my desk for the monitor and I don't want to sit anything with much weight on the console to risk damage.
Books stacked one on top of the other one is indeed unsafe because the slightest shaking or why not, even a minor earthquake could make your contraption fall.
You are much better off using one single piece of hard plastic or metal to hold your monitor in place rather than a number of stapled books.
You can get something more adequate in a online store like this Swedish company that allows you to screw together components to form a more stable setup than your books.
