What’s some of the worst injuries you’ve had both as a child and adult?

I’ve had multiple injuries when cutting myself at work (carpenter) worse one at work was when I cut off the tip of my finger! As a kid I fell on a longboard cracking my school getting the highest grade of concussion.

I’ve never had to go to the hospital for any emergency/accident. However… My mom IS an emergency medicine physician, so if I DID go to the ER, my mom would be the person treating me anyway! If my brother or I ever needed stitches or anything, she would just do it at home! I suppose a broken bone would be the only thing that she would actually take us to the ER for, and whereas my brother has had a few bad breaks, I’m just too girly, and wouldn’t climb trees to begin with, which eliminates the possibility of falling out of them. As for falling of a bike, I’ve had a couple of tumbles, but unlike my brother who broke his arm being a “stunt-man” I was always content NOT jumping over the “stunt-ramp of doom and danger”… Thank God!

This isn’t that bad but my dog tripped me and I hit my back on the concrete and couldn’t talk cuz I got the wind knock out of me i think that’s they called it. As a kid k was scared cuz it hurt to breathe for a second but ya I was fine

Not serious but pain was insane.

I was on bike and wanted to stop before curbstone to lift bike over it. I hit breaks and jumped from pedals on ground. There was lots of sand and my bike slided so did I. Bike hit curbstone and stopped, I was at full speed when my balls got impaled by bike handlebar.
That is how I learnt that bib tights don't provide too much protection. And balls in tight spandex have no place to hide.

Had trips and falls. But I think the worst was about 4 years ago.
I was cutting a steel joist.
The blade on the cutting disc , smashed. I ended up with two pieces of It in my groin.
It cut through the middle of one testicle the other just partially and put a deep cut in my penis.
It ended up with no testicles and a slightly shorter penis.

I've haven't really had too many injuries. Probably should have went to the hospital a few times for stitches but my parents always super glued any deep cuts back together cause they were too broke for us to go to the hospital.

I jumped over a glass table at the age of 6 . Yes. Vey stupid idea. I almost lost my leg. Ended up with two scars. They are barley visible now thank god. But were too deep and would have caused me a disability if the shards hit the wrong area.
Another one is some jerk, asshole of a guy who thought its a cute way to flirt with me is throwing a sand ball at me. I wanted to protect my beautiful face so I protected myself with my hand. And ended up with broken fingers. I was so young and naive otherwise i would have sued his ass

I have broken so many bones!
The absolute worst was when I broke my face 😅
Took my dirt bike out of the garage and rode around the yard to warm it up. Not going fast because I didn't have my helmet on... HUGE MISTAKE!! It started to rain and I took it back the garage. When I went across our blacktop driveway it was little slick and my handlebars twisted... Completely bit the pavement.
Knocked out 12 teeth roots and all. Broke my nose my jaw and also dislocated my jas as well.. And I broke my cheekbone.. Had a concussion so bad that I can't really remember that entire yeah. And i can't remember anything for the 3 months after it happened.

I've been an engineer, then technician most of my life. So had my fair share of cuts requiring sutures. However, my two worst injuries happened after I retired. I got hit in the lower leg by an electric motorcycle in Shanghai. A woman rider, no lights, driving the wrong way down a one-way street. The police and ambulance were called, but the cops were totally uninterested and nothing was done. Another time, same leg and about half an inch away from that scar, I needed stitches after putting my foot through a glass topped coffee table, in South America. Long story, but it was covered with a table cloth and I was trying to reach something for the landlady of the hotel I was staying at. She pointed at the table, for me to use, but didn't mention the glass.

Besides the normal cuts scrapes & bruises of a child? I was run down by a car on my motorcycle. Both legs were my collarbone an arm fractured skull plus other broken bones & scars from the surgeries to fix all of those injuries. I wasn't even supposed to survive.

there's this one wall next to a pavement on the way to a nice restaurant that has nails sticking out of them, like the flat side of the nails, and when I was 8 I was walking to that restaurant with my parents and one of the nails scraped my cheek and it hurt so much.

Luckily the worst injury I've had wasn't too bad. When I was kid I can't think of anything worse than when I was tripped at recess and got a nasty gash on my knee that I still have the scar. As an adult the worst was when I fell while ice skating a few years ago, right on my hands and knees. I ended up injuring my left hand pretty bad. Had to wear a splint for a few weeks while it healed. It got better but hasn't been the same since.

The worst injuries are the ones that you live with every day. The injuries only you see. The injuries people around dont suffer in their lifetime but it's okay because at the end of the day you are still standing even tho others were not so lucky... or maybe they were the luckiest ones not having to worry every again

About a month ago I accidentally sliced open my wrist while cutting boxes, I needed surgery because it cut a nerve and now i can’t properly move my finger.

I was hit by a truck while cycling. Broke many of the bones on the left side of my body, tore muscles and ligaments. Needed lots of pins and screws and physio. Bone trauma is pretty aweful, but in some ways physio after is worse.
