Al Kooper.
Al Kooper played with Dylan and the Rolling Stones. He helped form Blood, Sweat and Tears and the Blues Project.
He was also a record producer working on albums for Judy Collins, Donovan, Tim Hardin and Tom Rush.
He did some television work and wrote some of the songs for The Banana Splits.
He recently retired as a professor at the Berkeley College of Music.

For my violin training, I have had both men and women, and for some reason, the men seem to have more patience, with students. That said, I had more lessons from the man, but had some doubt as to his credentials to teach. He was a very good violinist, but don't' thing he had the necessary teaching skills. Violin is VERY DIFFICULT to learn and play well.

I guess I would take Van Halen

  I bet Paul Simon has some great stories to tell. He was a record producer in England. He produced albums for Jackson C. Frank and wrote the song "Red Rubber Ball" for the group Cyrkle.

Leonard Bernstein.
In fact, he IS a great teacher as well as conductor, song writer, and pianist.

Check out You Tube for : Young People's Concerts. I've studied and played music for 62 out of my approximate 70 years, and I STILL pick up new nuggets of info from these shows, and have seen about half of them all the way through.

Paul McCartney. He knows how to play just about every instrument, he's traveled all over the world, done just about everything, and he seems to be easy to get along with.
