Unfortunately, my antique cell phone (Nokia 1011, built 1995) will only handle 2G and nothing higher than that.

I am aware that by the end of 2022, the 2G network will be decommissioned and that my Nokia will not be able to handle any calls at all.

Latest by early 2023, I will have to buy a new cell phone if I want to be able to make local phone calls. It is a shame that governments and companies force people to always buy new products because they end the support of older equipment.
