Anyone else have this " thing " ?

I don't like people seeing or watching me eat... Yup.. I just find it weird... It's like someone watching me in the bathroom lol.. it's one of the main reasons I don't eat in restaurants or public places.. I'm wondering if I'm the only one like that lol?

No I have this problem too but it got better as time went on like I'm not as shy about it as I used to be and I can eat in restaurants but that would be a sad day if you get a partner because what if they want to eat at a restaurant but you don't want to because you think other people are watching well trust me no one cares and if they glance at you they're not gonna keep staring at you so what's the point of always being like this, there's no point.

Yes it happens with me too. I cover my mouth with my hand when I'm chewing my food. The worst thing is as I'm kind of popular and centre of attention in my school many people see me when I eat in cafeteria and it is extremely awkward.

You're talking about creeping, stalking, and staring. Most people out and about aren't super interested in who is out eating.

No i didn't mean that... Just being seen by anyone.. Even the people you know at your home.. Like I said, it just feels weird

I see it as one of things that you do in private like going to the bathroom, washing yourself and similar stuff.. I know it sounds odd but to me they feel similar

Same :( ! I only go to restaurants a few times a year (pre-pandemic included). I go to a community college and will literally eat beside a quiet, secluded stairway which leads to the IT office before I eat in front of the other students at our school’s cafe.
