Guys when do you think corona virus will leave us forever?

I am really tired of this whole situation i am sure i am not the only one who hates this virus to death

It won't. The flu never went away. It kills tens of thousands of people every year in the winter months, yet nobody ever freaked out and government never instituted any "emergency measures".

Statistically, covid never had a higher mortality rate than the flu. Yet people are more freaked out by covid than anything else in their lives because of a concerted propaganda campaign designed to create terror. In reality, the covid measures were NEVER about protecting people from illness.

Now that Sars-Covid-2 (Covid-19) has petered out and been replaced by more contagious but much less deadly variants, covid will be more like the common cold. It will be no big deal to those who do come down with it. And those who do will get much more robust immunity than from any vax. So omicron is actually a blessing. It posses almost no risk and will result in natural herd immunity.

People these day act like they've never been sick in their lives. Before, you would get a cold or flu and ride it out - drink fluids, get plenty of rest, have some soup. But now, someone gets a sniffle and runs to get tested for covid, as if testing positive for covid is worse than getting diagnosed with cancer. It's nonsensical.

Not leave but it will become weaker. You know, even the bubonic plague which caused the black death is still around but rare... that was what my initial hope for covid was, but apparently covid will be more present, just that it will have the same risks the influenza after some time.

It's a derivative of SARS which has been around for a long time, covid like Sars is starting to morph into something different.
That is why there has never been a vaccine for Sars.
By the time they come up with one it has morphed into something different.
Look at covid, it is in its third variant.
What we are finding out is that even the people that have had the covid vaccine and booster are still getting covid.
We have multiple people out sick on our department.
One of our medics this is the second time both he and his wife have tested positive, she is a nurse, and another one has tested positive for the 4th time.
Those type of statistics are not ones that will be making headlines anytime soon.
The government is still pushing the first vaccine, yet it is becoming increasingly apparent that it is not very effective on the 2 new variants.

It will NEVER leave. See Chicken pox. We can like protect ourselves from vaccines of Chicken pox but it is still there and will stay forever. Corona will also stay forever. Just think that the cells of covid is sticked to all the parts of world and we don't even know exactly where it is sticked that we can kill it and remove it forever. It will stay.

I don't think it will - it'll just be something we all get used to - like in my opinion because i haven't really experienced anyone close with COVID it doesn't even seem relevant anymore - idrc about it because it's not affecting me - it'll soon just lapse into the background.

Unfortunately I think it's here to stay permanently. It might (and hopefully does) become less severe in time, where it'll just be like the flu or cold, but I don't think it'll ever be permanently gone. Especially with people out there that refuse to get vaccinated.

It won't until we have the technology to cure all viruses, like the common cold or the flu. It's just with us now. It should become less deadly over time, though, and the new omicron variant seems to be bearing this out (although its just a single data point, it's still encouraging).

It won't. The common cold is one of the most contagious and deadly viruses in history. It can kill monkeys and apes quickly. We evolved around it and it became sniffles for us. Natural selection will move us away from covid and the flu by humans outliving it.
