Which team are you on: cats or dogs?

Yeah I can't really give you an answer on that because I used to own both of them and believe me they were inseparable. My dog to the left was Ryan and my cat to the left was Thomas. Both girls and they loved me the most. They used to fight at first but eventually they got along. Both of them try to get my affection first, Thomas tries to get on my head while Ryan tries to lay in my lap. I will sit there with them hours and hours with them and a few times they wouldn't even let me use the bathroom. I had to call My Neighbor next door to knock on my door so they can get off of me so I can use the bathroom.

Grew up with dogs my entire life. Especially on the farm, we had dogs to herd the sheep and look after all the animals in order to protect them from predators. For the farm I had a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and a Belgian Tervuren. For pets I've had a Newfoundland, Rottweiler, and a Golden Retriever.

Laughing at the two folks downvoting all the people who have chosen "Dog" as their answer. Seriously? You can't handle a person having a different opinion than you? Pathetic.

Dogs eat poop then lick your face. I remember my neighbors dog would crap. Turn around and sniff the pile. Then eat it again. Nuff said. Cats rule.

Cats, I never liked dogs.. in place where I live, there are a lot of street dogs around. They usually come together and bark, attack anyone whoever passes from the street, I dealt a lot with them and had to hit some of them as well. Cats are more unique animals, they don't have harm to anybody they just mind their own bussines and do their duty for the nature.

Dogs are the worst and dog lovers are idiots. I saw someone here say that a bored dog is a destructive dog. If something destroys out of boredom should it be allowed in human society? NOOO

Cats cause my whole life was surrended by strays kitties that my parents would take care of. They can be a bit too sassy and psychopathic for my liking but I now have a weak spot for them so I will endure the abuse.

A dog person, I've always chosen working breeds that have not been bred to a 'Kennel Club' standard as that has a nasty habit of reinforcing any genetic flaws in the breeds, I will got to people who are breeding from working dogs, but I'll take the smallest of the litter as they are not usually used as workers, but when they have grown to adults I'll take them back to see if there is any traits they missed and want to keep in the line.

Dogs because they tend to be openly loving and don't mind getting and giving affection.

Cats because they'll slip up on you and start to rub on you the purring sound they make doesn't hurt their cases.

Personally I prefer cats and they seem to love me as well. Even the meanest most untrusting cats love me for some reason. But unfortunately I'm allergic to them.

I've owned cats but I'm not against dogs, I like cats and dogs, I just never had an apartment or place that I could properly care for a dog. Now I can't have any pets.

Dogs! I wanna get one but I'm not sure we'll have time for it. But it would be cool to have a family pet—besides fish. Nothing against fish, they're pretty cool, but you can actually pet a dog. Fish are more like... little aliens you spy on.

Both. I have 2 cats now. The plus side of cats are that you can be gone all day, or overnight.  A clean box, lots of water and food they are fine. A dog has to be let out every so often.
