It’s actually been proven that crying is healthy and releases pent up emotions and even releases toxins built up in the body from stress. Sometimes we don’t see the benefits from the inverse of what we’re feeling. When you work out you feel weak- but you get stronger. when you save money you feel broke- but you’re actually building wealth, and when you cry you feel sad- but you’re actually purging pent up emotions.
have a good cry, wipe your tears and then do something productive. You’ll feel better that you purged those emotions.

Accumulated stress or something you've been trying to forget/put aside but you just cannot handle it anymore.

Humans are not designed to contain stuff within their unconcious for so long. They're meant to cry, share emotions and be themselves for that's what they need and deserve.
