And what? He would actually live longer. He starved himself not eating to die. He commited sucide not eating food. He became thiner and thiner until he bacame like skeleton. That is how he died.

Cigarettes didn't play any role in his dying. And he died at 89.

First, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Your grandfather was one of the very few people who was lucky enough to not get a disease. It doesn't mean that you'll be lucky, too. Besides, I've noticed that people who were born in early 90s like my maternal grandmother are way stronger physically than we could ever be as they weren't exposed to many bad things that we've been exposed to since a young age.
