Why would a narcissistic-sociopathic ex boyfriend still wish you a happy b-day?

I broke up with my ex boyfriend (a real narcissistic-sociopath) last Oct in very bad terms. I hated him at that moment. My family and I blocked him permanently and he still owes me over $1,200. I had to even have 3 psychological sessions because of him; he caused emotional damage.

I was furious that he had the nerves to text me a ''Happy Birthday'' 3 days ago on my Whatsapp (I blocked that number but he still managed to text me), just like that... as if nothing ever happened. Why?

Within me I'm thinking ''Wow, are you sick? Do you have any idea the harm you did? You hurt me, you hurt my mother, my grandma and you still owe me money you bastard. Seriously why do they still text you as if nothing happened?

What makes this man a “narcissistic-sociopathic?”


As to your question, well a few reasons.


Even if someone you feel doesn’t like you and you don’t like them, they may actually still have feelings for you.


You can’t read their minds, so it’s hard to say what they’re thinking and what their intentions are.


Maybe they’re just trying to taunt/tease you because they know you don’t like them and/or hate them actually.


Or maybe what you feel about them, the hate and dislike, they don’t necessarily feel the same about you.

My psychologist informed me he's been displaying traits found in a narcissistic-sociopath; one of the main ones was lack of compassion/empathy towards others.

He was and did all of these things:
- Would go from lovebombing me and hurl excessive compliments to blowing up easily over trivial things and threatening to break-up; making me feel as if I was always in the wrong
- Literally called himself almost perfect and other times told me he was perfect, that he was the best thing ever and that I'll never find anyone as great as him
- During a horrible argument created by him (he would switch from romantic and sweet to screaming at me suddenly; turning a beautiful day into a horrible day fast), he gave me an evil stare that I got scared; he didn't even blink; he looked at me straight in the eye with deep intense hatred... I saw darkness in those eyes
- He never paid my money back; he owes me over $1,200
- He lied about having a future with me and wanting kids; his purpose was to drain all my years... he was hoping that I didn't find anyone else
- He wanted me to already get included in my father's living will even though my father is still alive; kept excusing it that it's for my own future... he wanted 1/2 of my fortune
- I've realized in the end he never wanted to marry me nor have kids; everything was lie... he wanted my money
- He instructed one of his female friends to text my mother false things about my father; he defamed my father's character and my mother almost filed for divorce
- He wanted my grandma to die so my mother can get her inheritance and pass that over to me
- He even owes his own mother money
- He's been asking other women for money, stringing along more women and wasting their time for pleasure

If that's not evil then I don't know what it is. That seems evil to me.

He once made do his tamales again just because I've used olive oil instead of lard. It came out the same and it was good but he still made me do them again. He was pressuring me to cook things I didn't want to and trying to isolate me from my other family members; he wanted everything for himself.
He would threatened that if I didn't make more creative dishes (pressuring me to cook things I didn't want to), he had no option but to cheat on me. It was horrible.

I was his long distance friend for the longest. Then in 2016, I became his long-distance girlfriend. It took him till late 2021 to realize what a true monster he was like and that he'll never come to marry me nor have kids as promised. Everything, even our initial friendship was a complete lie.

Yes, even his age was a lie too. He led me to believe he was born in 1984, only to years later tell me he lied and it's really from 1976; who knows if that's even true.
I even spoke to his own mother by accident twice, whom had no idea about any future plans of marriage nor having kids; telling me her son is lazy, acting weird and owes her money.

Believe it or not, even a person like him do have sentimental emotions. I think he was wishing you a sincere happy birthday 🎉. He probably did it because he thought for once he was doing something that wouldn't hurt you. No crime, no fowl.

He guessed wrong. Him texting me a happy b-day was like interrupting my happy moment. I learned today that he had the nerve to sent my best friend a friend request on her fb and was checking on her profile. She blocked him after I told him what he's like. She never liked him either.
With those type of people, if you even reply to them once and give them a chance, they will go back to be toxic and manipulative all over again. It was a horrible experience for me.

Indeed. He already destroyed my youthful years, he faked a future for the longest. I've been dating someone else since Dec 27... no way I'm going to let that bastard continue ruining my current happy moment, my remaining years I have left to still have kids.

I guess. I didn't reply anything. I've blocked him again. With those type of people, if you were to say bad words or cuss at them, they are capable of thinking we desire them. I want him out of my life forever.
