Landlord keeps stopping by?

I recently moved into my new apartment. My landlord noticed that my fridge did not work upon my move in date so he came by to swap it out for a different one. Now he keeps asking if could come by to check on the second fridge. I don't want him to because last time he threw away all of my groceries 😫 and I can't afford to buy more this time around.

How do I politely ask him to come by another time?

It’s in the contract what they can do and state law… generally 24 he notice. He didn’t have right to trash your groceries… I’d never do that.


That should be documented in a respectable but honest way.

I'm not really certain where you're from, but most times landlords aren't able to just "stop by" to fix stuff. If you set a clear boundary for when they can come and go (preferably a time when you're home) a violation of that boundary is considered trespassing based on the tenants rights in your area.

You can’t. But you can tell him not to throw away your groceries. And you can tell him to let you know before he stops by so you can be home when he’s there.
