How about instead of allowing your ridiculous paranoid fantasies define your reality you actually try observing and reacting to real life and what is definitely actually happening in it?

For example if a guy tells you that he thinks the sky is blue, what that means is that as far as he knows, the sky is blue.

A lot of this stuff isn't complicated until you make it complicated.

I thought it works both ways? If you take your read receipt off it automatically takes it off for the other person you’re texting as well (they won’t be able to see your read receipt anymore and you won’t be able to see their anymore).

It doesn't mean he turned off his read receipts. When you turn off your read receipts you can't see if someone read your message either.
