How OFTEN have you CHANGED your RESIDENCE?

I've changed my residence, moved from one place to another, 12 times in my life, initially moving from my parents' house to be on my own, a few times for job changes, and when getting married and later divorced.

How many times have you moved? Do you plan to move in the near future or do you plan to stay where you are?

I moved about quite a lot afrer leaving my family home at 18, till I was 25, fully qualified and in a stable position, probably moved 15 times in that period. When I was 25 I bought my first house, and when I got together with my then second fiancée she moved in briefly with me and then we bought our own house together before getting married. We moved twice in the 11 years we were living together. When we divorced and sold our last home I found the place I'm living now, and honestly it's ny dream home, and I had planned to stay here for a long time, but with the prospect of having to move for my PhD I may not be here for much longer. I will most likely not sell this property though and just buy another one where I will be doing my PhD, whivh is still to be decided, and then come back here when I'm finished. The other house will just enter my rental portfolio with the others.
So I guess at a rough count I've moved about 20 times too.

I hate moving out, it's very irritating and resets many of the progress especially at young age and for my family moving out was almost a regular occurance, considering all the places I stayed for more than 3 months at once and the ones I been to back and forth I have an average stay of less than two years which I consider extremely short.
Settling in takes time and personally I prefer taking things with slow pacing so I find the unstability in my upbringing to have been not ideal.

Don't know if some of these would count but the first time was when I was 5 1/2 and my family moved into our current house. The second time was when I went off to university and got an apartment. Third time with my current ex (we unfortunately lived with his mom and stepdad), fourth time was with my current ex to his friends place (i honestly hated that place for multiple reasons), fifth time was after the messy breakup I moved into a one bedroom one bathroom apartment with no kitchen, sixth time I moved back to my childhood home cause of rent

Once as a baby, once for University and a second time during it, to move in with my now fiance into an appartment. (at the time boyfriend) A last time into my now fiances house.
So total of 4 times.

So far only 3 times. I moved to a different country, then I moved again twice to a different towns.
I'm planning on moving probably in the next 2 years. And then move again.

Durning college I moved a lot.. Between dorms, apartments, etc. Then for a couple of years after college I moved a lot. Since my mid-twenties only 6 times.

Before that it was just going back and forth during college which i didn't count.
