I'm pet sitting for someone while they're on vacation and the owner forgot to pay me?

How do I go about reminding her that she forgot to leave a check like the last time? I was under the assumption that I would be getting paid like i did last year for staying overnight, feeding the animals, and taking the dog on walks.

Is it wrong to assume that they were going to pay me? they're upper middle class, so money isn't an issue

Maybe they like doing it after. I mean, it would suck giving someone money to take care of your pet and then come home to find them dead or something
