Do you buy empty houses or fully furnished houses?

I'm in the U. S.
I voted A because that's typically expected. Occasionally someone might like the decor or a few pieces of furniture and ask they be included in the sale (sometimes the buyer will offer a little more money, but that depends on the housing market).
In the U. S., the kitchen cabinets and appliances stay. The refrigerator may or may not depending if it's built-in. Those items are considered "fixtures" just like the lighting, mirrors, built-in book shelves or China cabinets, any fencing...
I have seen the show where people buying homes on islands typically include all of the furnishings.
that reminds me of when my parents bought a vitage 300 year old house with 100 year old furniture in it. the seller wanted exorbitant prices for a place that basically had to be completely restructured and renovated. so they settled on just the house without furniture and gave the seller 3 months to sell the vintage furniture...
what ended up happening was: they failed to sell their furniture, cause nobody wants dusty old shit (except for my mom). they just drove all the furniture to a landfill, paying on top for the disposal instead of just giving it to my parents for free XD
Wow, they sound bitter.
I never understood the taking your kitchen cabinets with you thing. Our cabinets are designed specifically for our kitchen layout and measurements.
yeah. plus they're not built to be taken down and reinstalled. you'll have ugly holes and other random damage all over the place.
Most places where it's common to take the cabinets with you have brackets on the walls. I suppose moving the brackets would leave some ugly holes though.
Empty house is pretty much the norm. My current house was mostly furnished because of special circumstances, but I wish it was empty. It would have made things a heck of a lot easier.
I live in the Midwest in the US. I've lived in ten states in the north, south, east, west and middle. It's been the same everywhere. I could maybe see someplace like NYC being different though.
If money were no object I'd have an interior designer outfit the house based on my guidelines.
I don't want to move with, lug around or assemble any annoying crap, and I want the place to be functional and presentable.
yeah. i'm asking though what you'd "realisticly" buy witht he money you have :D if money was no issue, i'd get a billion dollar villa too xD
I might still do what I said if I got a big promotion or better job though. Even with a normal house.
I've accumulated so much crap after being married, I'd like to just put it all in a heap burn it and start fresh/minimalist.
fair enough.

I had my house built brand new so it was very empty. My summer house came with a lot of furniture and a refrigerator. There ws also a junky lawn mower I used for a couple of years and a gas grill that finally caught fire.
damn. guess it's best not to trust dangerous pre-owned appliances xD
Not necessarily I am in China. They often give an example house with fully furnished but most of it are empty. fully furnished often give you concept for sale. empty house for your imagination.
smart. this way you can oversell a hose cause people can't really imagine how much worse it looks empty xD
Here in germany you usually buy or rent a completely empty house.
Sometimes you don't even have wallpapers on the wall.
ja, ich weiß :D
Always empty, it’s rare to buy it furnished in the USA, maybe if it was a lake house they might
So, I can paint and do whatever I want without anything in the way
A b c depends on the condition and price point
