You don't have to feel bad for your hobby or liking. Some people may see it as an activity for retired citizens. You do what you like doing and furthermore, this sport is a great way to train coordination and strength.

There is no age to play golf and I have seen many younger people enjoying golfing. As you correctly state, it is an ideal outdoor activity and also a great way to enjoy playing in the company of friends.

However, some view golfing as a sports for rich people and that may be the back side of the medal because you are perhaps labelled as a rich kid. That does not always sound good because this term is often associated with being a lazy person that is solely benefits from the money of daddy.

Golf is one the main (non team type) sports going here.

A lot of clubs have a large under 30 membership and also have youth members.

Never heard anyone ever slagging off golf due to age.
