I've been dating a coworker on and off since October. Lately, things have been going great. He asked me to hang out on Friday at a bar after work (he gets off at 11 pm), but I said it was too late (I always turn him down if he asks me to hang out late because I refuse to be a booty call). So we agreed on Saturday night after work (we would get out at 5ish), and I told him to let me know what he wants to do. Everything was left on a good note. The next day, I left work and told him, "see you later" (without going into details or asking questions because we don't want other coworkers to know we're dating). He never texted me or called me, so I never reached out to him, and we never hung out. Why would he do this?
Does he only ask you to hang out at late hours? Was this the first time he agreed to meet up with you earlier? If so, then he probably wants you to be a booty call, regardless if he knows how you feel. If not, then he probably forgot about the plans, or he may have been caught off-guard by you telling him "see you later." In other words, you may have fooled him in the process of fooling your co-workers.
