Me and my partner are currently looking at buying our first home together.
We are living in a pretty happening area were a lot of of young people like ourselves are trying to get on the property ladder and it's extremely hard, competitive and expensive and I don't see it changing anytime soon.
We've viewed a few houses now and we have a couple more this week. I'm gonna call this house "House A". We were only planing on looking at house A to be noisy as it's really big and beautiful but needs a lot of work and has no drive. When we got in we instantly bouth fell in love with it. It's massive and had all original Georgian features. We both really got that feeling in are stomach but this was the one. It has a lot of work to do to it and we've both agreed because of this we are only gonna offer prices under the asking prices.
It was sold once but fell through and it used to be a rental. The owner is despite to sell as it's been on the market for a long time.
The other houses we've been looking at are a lot smaller for around the same price but are more modern and in walk-in distance to my work and have drives but they are also more popular and getting into a lot of bidding wars.
I thought my family would judge if I told them I wanted house A as they would think I only wanted it because it's pretty but they said they could see how excited I was just by talking about the house. As soon as me and my boyfriend left the other houses all we could do was talk about house A and compare it.
Also house A is near a school so around 3 o'clock parking is crazy but it quickly dies down but the house is also in walking distance to the town and shops and I work unsocial hours so it shouldn't be that big of a issue

We also have a lot of trades people in bouth are families as well as my boyfriend being a trades man and I'm willing to get stuck in when needed I'm a hard worker and in okay with getting my hands dirty too if thats what house A needs
