Why is it like that?

Why is it that time goes by so slowly when we're looking at the time but when we aren't focusing on it, an hour passes us by. Does anyone think that's strange? As if time slows when we want it to go faster.

Its just that your preoccupied with something take a stop watch and start it and sit until you think 15 min have passed then do it again and take a shower or something until you think 15 min have passed. One thing that makes kids think something takes forever like a car ride is they have nothing to compare it to so if you tell them we are leaving in a hour they can't really compare it to something they know will take a hour and so they think an hour is like forever I don't know know if any of the shit i just text made any since

It's easy to get lost when you are busy or involved with something.
You think it's noon and it's 3.
You are so busy concentrating on what you are doing you simply lose track of time.
Not sure of your age but remember when you were young, Christmas took forever to get here, when you get older it's what do you mean it's almost Christmas.

I know... I graduated last year and now it seems like only yesterday. I can't keep my days straight though, I don't know what day it is today 😂

Yeah, when I’m doing nothing 2 hours will pass like 5 minutes but when I’m cooking it feels like half an hour has passed in 3-10 minutes.
