Which student apartment is better?

I’m having trouble deciding where I should stay for the upcoming semester. My rent has increased and there are other apartments that are much cheaper but they’re farther from campus. I like my current apartment because I know my roommates and it’s so close to campus.

Option A (My current apartment)

• $50/month to park in garage , does not include utilities anymore / no dogs

Option B

• 4 bed/4 bath

• Dogs allowed

Cons

• 30 minute walk to campus

Option C

• Individual cottages
• 4bed/4bath
• $639
• fully furnished/spacious

Cons

• 41 minute walk to campus / I’d have to drive.

well... driving almost every day will cost you gas, and from time to time... your car will need maintenance, and if your car breaks down some time as many cars do... you will be out of transportation and in need to play and find a replacement for that inconvenience...

so, if the costs of this deal with option C are more than the increased costs of the option A... I would stay in the same place and pay the difference because those pros you have listed are worth every dollar, for sure... especially the one that is about your safety

What I would say is all apartments are cool, but it depends what you can afford, but I will go with A, it's good to not be late going to college.

The first and second are my top choices, I think being in areas with regular surveillance is safer than being isolated and being close to the school is great for your social experience. I also think having a pool is great. The first one might be overpriced if utilities are extra but it might be better if it’s big enough to house all your belongs.

Anyways either stay in yours with the people you know or take option B and safe some money workout everyday (cause of the walk)

Jesus Christ! That rent is incredibly cheap. The cheapest you can find in our college town is $1,000 or more for a studio. Three bedroom will cost you about $3,000. And these apartments are nowhere is near as nice as the ones you showed. If you want to be downtown, a one-bedroom apartment goes for $3,200

You're honestly better off staying where you are at (optional A) to be honest. Here's why :

B. The rent is cheaper but why? How safe is the area? What do the low ratings say? Usually when the rent is cheaper that means any and everybody moving there and that's not safe.

C. I really like but how far is the drive? If the drive is too far the expenses you'll be paying will add up to the cost of where you are now. That's why you might be better off where you at.

If you like where you are and can afford the rent increase (plus now have to pay for utilities), stay where you are, option A. Otherwise, go with option B. I assume you don't have a dog. If you do, it's a no-brainer to move to option B.

Option C and just buy a bicycle. You'll be there in ten minutes by bike.
Option B seems like the worst option and has almost no benefits other than being slightly cheaper and option A has too many cons.

Unless you have a dog and need your car; I would go with the first option. It's tough to beat a 3 minute walk to campus. Otherwise, I would go with option B.

Where are you living. 4 bedrooms for 700? That's so cheap. You'd pay around 2000 a month for that where I live.

If the 700 is a struggle for you then go with the lesser expensive one. Just try to stay as close to your college as possible
