Each state has their own laws. You can get a study guide for the state. You basically have to memorize it. You can probably do it in a week or two, or it might take a month or two. It depends on how much you study and how quick you learn. It's not real difficult though.
You will probably have to take a driving test also. If you already know how to drive that shouldn't be a problem. If you don't know how to drive you need to spend a fair amount of time practicing.
I think some states have reciprocity agreements. So if you have a license in one state and move to another, you might be able to skip the driving portion.
Overall the process is pretty easy. But you do have to study and practice driving.
Is it expensive?
The cost of the license itself depends on the state. But it's not usually expensive. A quick search in your state should give a price.
If your state requires a drivers ed course, that might get expensive. I took drivers ed in high school so I never had to pay for it. My state only required an official course for people under 18 years old. I got my license at 16 so I had to take it.
I don't know the rules on driver ed in other states. You have to check your state.
I took my with pen and paper test
They gave you a book to read and study and the book had mock test written test in it
If you could pass the mocked test, you can easier pass the written test
My road test was done with stick shift cargo van with no windows behind the drivers seat.
So you have to check for blind spots different then car vehicles with rear windows
I had to show I could up shift and down shift, park on hill in both directions, had to show I could parallel park with mirrors only (because the van didn't have rear windows) and I had to show them I knew all the hand signals for turning and stopping

I heard it's harder than from my country.
Here you can pay someone and get a driver's license.
I believe in the US, you need to take a test and you actually get scored based on your performance.
It’s easy if you read the manual first to pass written then get plenty of driving experience before the road test
I'm not from USA, but I heard comparing to my country it's easy.
Its easy if you study for it. You can find sites that have Q & A.
Yes.
