they get brooding and pissy when they realize my efforts DON'T improve to their criticism but instead I simply STOP helping PERIOD.

When I was a kid we had a "job list" on the fridge. Dishes, laundry, cleaning our room, changing sheets, cleaning the bathrooms, doing homework, taking out the garbage, etc. Sure, we could go play outside, but we had to do some chores and our homework first. That is still in my subconscious.. My husband does a lot of the yardwork, but I help w/that too. Kids need a "job list" today on their fuckin phones! lol

Yes. I hate cleaning my house. Every two or three months, I say to myself "I can't stand this. Clean this place up. " I will spend half a day cleaning everything and feel good for another three months.

Not at all. I like to keep my space neat, so I often clean/do chores often. 😅
