How old were you when you realized that death is inevitable?

I dunno three years ago, when I turned 47. I had an issue. Went to the emergency room, then realized I ain't going to around this place one day.

Well, for most of my life, I thought I was fearless. But being rushed to the emergency room in an ambulance changed all of that.

One can be still fearless while confronting death and taking it as an inevitable event.

Well yeah. . . I mean I am doing the whole mindfulness thing.

And that has helped to settle things a little bit.

I don’t think I’ve ever given it any consideration. Even as a child. I don’t have many religious or spiritual beliefs but I’ve always just thought at the back of my head that it’s okay because I’ll see them again, whatever that means.

Yeah I can’t really explain it. It’s not like a belief that I have because I have no opinion on what happens when we die, I’m just as clueless as everyone else. But when I think about pets or loved ones that have passed on there’s just that feeling that I’ll see them again. It’s always been there. I wish I could explain it better. And I don’t come from a religious family either, never been to a church or anything like that. Sorry for the rambling lol

Somewhere between ages 8 and 10. I had a bunch of baby chickens I would take care of and occasionally they would die. Eventually I had to accept that was normal. With people, I accepted it at around 13 or 14.
