Would it be weird to ask a member of staff to film me performing?

Every Saturday I perform a belly dance at a restaurant. I perform when people finish eating and I notice that the chefs come out at the end sometimes. There is a cute chef working there that I see sometimes and I notice he always tries to speak with me. Would it be weird if I see him before I go out to perform if he’d take a few videos? ( there is a place he can film without actually going into the main restaurant). I don’t want to seem desperate but I always like to watch my performance videos after😄

Go for it. It's always nice to have film of your performance, plus it gives you a chance to talk to him more.

If you need an explanation, just say you want to see how you did and/or need footage for something.

I don't think it's weird. When I performed (drumming, not dancing), our group frequently made sure there were cameras (usually our friends and fam, or a designated camera person) so we could review the performance afterwards and look for improvements and lessons.
