Would doing this make me look like a creep?

I just graduated from college about a month ago. I have a little crush on this girl I’ve had a couple of classes with previous semesters but it was almost a year ago. she's a year younger I think and a lesbian and I never acted on my crush because I was in another relationship at the time. I didn’t just pull the crush out of my ass, I actually noticed the girl because I caught her staring at me once while I was walking to my seat and I’ve seen her shoot me glances before throughout class. I have a feeling she could be interested. So the hesitation is just the fact that it’s been a while since I’ve had class with her and I recently graduated. I have friends from work that I hangout with from time to time and we made plans to go to the cafe where this lesbian girl works but they cancelled for this weekend and I don’t want to rely on them. I don’t have a lot of friends and I made one my last semester who is actually acquaintances with the lesbian girl but I’m way too scared to ask her to hangout in that case and that would mean I have to come out to her. I’m thinking of just saying F it and going to the cafe alone or should I awkwardly solicit this friend? I’m not necessarily trying to ask her out right away but I want to be on her radar. One of my friends who was supposed to come with me said I’m way out of her league and prettier than her ( so that should make me feel a little better ) but she also encouraged me to go but not have any expectations and just let things flow. Help?
