Just had a nasty rain storm and discovered water dripping in the basement coming from the fuse box!! How can I stop this? Any ideas?

Find where the water is coming in and fix it

About 10 years ago my basement flooded so bad. That it was like 5 feet deep.

That flood cause my stonewall foundation to cave in. I had to rebuild the wall myself.

Took about two weeks working full time at it.

It took me 2 days to dig out the foundation.

Heck I learned a forgotten skill.

I taught myself how to make the oldest form of mortar.

The reason why

1) I wanted to keep my house as original as possible. It was built in 1799. That is older then the state of Wisconsin

2) It is also the cheapest form of mortar

3) it is the exact type of mortar that built the wall in the 1st place

Most of the materials came from my land. So that's Zero cost

The limestone was the only thing I bought that came from another place

I used clay mud, crushed limestone, sand (that I cleaned from the river that runs though my property), lots of rocks of all sizes and water

That's all the materials I used to rebuild my original stonewall foundation.

Find out where the leak is coming from. My guess its the roof or rain gutters.

Why the roof if it's underground? Directly above the wall is a big bay window, directly in front of that is a huge bush that grandma planted 60 years ago. It's now big enough that any water falling off the roof and NOT hitting the gutters SHOULD hit the leaves of that plant.
