Should I upgrade my house or go on a small trip?

House upgrades I want: replace my closet door with a sliding, rustic door. Buy two nightstands, get a bigger TV for my bedroom (the one I have is really tiny), paint my house, get a rain shower 🚿 $$$

Trip: 4-5 days. Fly to Minneapolis and do a small roadtrip north. Stay in a cabin, do winter activities, visit Lake Superior, experience a new place. $$$$

Yes, I live nearby, and their should be plenty of snow on the ground by Dec.

why not do both do half the upgrades you want to your house and cut the vacation time in half
