My friend has court tomorrow morning and also has a warrant from another state when she goes to court tomorrow will they automatically arrest her?

This question is for my friend I’m taking care of her kids tomorrow and I wanna know what the chances are if her going to jail for the warrant that she has from the other state after she has court for this charge in our state. I just wanna be prepared if I’m gonna have her kids for a long time or not

Depends on several factors. What is the warrant for? If You are going to court in Texas and have a shoplifting warrant in Florida Texas is NOT going to arrest you. The Judge is going to notify you of the warrant and tell you to clear it up. I actually saw a man with an assault warrant out of NC released in Georgia but warned to take care of that warrant. Your friend needs to get an Attorney ASAP!

She may be arrested, but it depends if the other state decides they want to extradict her or sometimes they decline so then they will release her. If the charge is serious, they'll probably want her, so, i'd definitely count on taking care of the little one for a while.

Nobody can truly answer your question because you have not provided the two states in which this situation pretains towards. If I was to give you advice that would apply in California, that wouldn't really apply in Alabama, you know?

Depending on the departments, the states, the officers themselves and the level of empathy they display/how strict said department policy is: anything can go down. The warrant itself and what is stipulated in said warrant matters too. Failing to pay a minor child support sum isn't the same as a firearm charge or warrant for arrest relating to assault with a deadly weapon. These details matter.

If it's a felony warrant, then it's very possible. No state is going to extradite her on a misdemeanor warrant.

So she had to get court date changed because she didn’t have a lawyer and for the warrant it was a misdemeanor so they just let it go I guess. So she got to come home.
