Actually, if it was mobile and I owned it outright (no monthly payments), then yes, I would! My current apartment here in Korea is small as f*ck. I'm already used to tiny spaces. I'd just need WIFI and to figure out how the hell water works with it.
And I've lived in smaller sh*tholes before.

Most of the people who buy them are just excited. But when they find what a hassle it is to live in one, they wind up selling it. A washer, toilet, dishwasher, and shower takes a lot of water. Unless you are hooked up to a sewer and water supply, you will be having problems.

  i agree with that, i had a friend it was fun for a month, after it took us 2 years to build between work and now it sits in the dads backyard and she lives inside the big house.

It takes a lot of letting go and choosing simplicity but it can be really nice! I would recommend it as a money saver for sure if I had a chance.

for what they cost I would not.
I work at a racetrack from April to Oct, and I have a 26' trailer and that gets pretty small after 3 or 4 days.
I like my space and garage.

Yes. Often times I find myself wanting to live in those wood cabins from the 1920s and 30s that are only the living room and kitchen together and 1 bedroom.
