Do you consider frigging to be a proper swear word?

This frigging great question is frigging simple, is frigging/frigg a proper swear word or is it just something your frigging granny substitutes for the more famous F word when she doesn't want to swear in front of the friggin kids?

Context matters. The way you used it in your question, not a swear word. The folks at church or the kids school might not like it but not a swear word. But if used as: "you're such a friggin' idiot" then I think it stands in for the other word and it becomes a swear word.

It's fudge equivalent but what I have always found odd is the person uttering frigg or fudge are thinking the real F word so why not say it :)

Also - I will admit when I first saw this question in my feed I thought it read "figging" so I clicked the link because I've done that before :)
