hey being British absolutely not, it is entirely part of our language and can be used in such brilliant ways!! in fact some of the harshest ones such as c.. t can be used quite affectionately... i have always swore and raised my children to understand they were adult words they never swore, even now in front of me, and yet on gaming time they are unreal its so weird to hear especially my son, he's 21 and only once said the f word to me... but online he's outrageous... the way i explained it to my children was swearing is really just another word, it makes no sense really that certain words decided by society are unfit or not allowed here and there etc... and there is nothing like the following phrases.. mother fucking fuck fuck... are you fucking kidding me.. right now... if we move on to the c.. t word, i especially appreciate this being used in the friendly type way,,, but when its used in an angry malicious way! uh no i dont like that... xx
Words have no power in and of themselves…
i wish but if i say "man" to a bearded lady people shout and scream or the n word... and if they complain can i say "aww boohoo, pipe down life is unfair"?
Real facts! They only have meaning if we make it so AND THAT we have the power to control!!
Then why has the "N" word been so prominent during the maiming and lynching of so many os us blacks?
It just shows the lack of ability to cut someone down with the power of language. Curses are easy and weak.
There is a line from xfiles as an example:
"You're an invertebrate scum sucker who is moral dipstick is two drops short of bone dry."
That is much more satisfying than "F off".
Not even fixing the typo if could. Thanks gag
Blah blah blah
Stop instigating derpypoo
🤬🤬🤬
Hahahahaha
@dustybiker2 But "fuck off" can be used in any situation. Have you ever been in a situation where you just wanted a pithy comeback? "Fuck off" works every time.
I don't disagree. It just leaves me dissatisfied. Like cheap wine. lol
Or whine.. if I may be so punny.
"Tact is the ability to tell someone to go to hell and they look forward to the trip". Winston Churchill
Yes! Love that quote.
It's not so much offensive, but there is too much noise in conversation already. Why add more?
It's perfect to use with the right group at the right moment. But for day-to-day priorities, the words around curses go straight to the bottom of anything meaningful to me. You're that angry; fix your own life. Need help; I don't even want respect, just some common sense to address the matter.
There context of use does, if I’m with guy mates, pretty much anything goes, today at my parents, zero chance of anything bad.
So while if the context is okay, they don’t, if it’s wrong for example if I’m with family and a friend starts swearing, yes that would offend me, as it’s lack of respect.
Logical of course.

The word itself no. What offends is the intent behind the word.
Ouch, I've stubbed my fucking toe. Not offensive
Fucking hell, look at that. Not offensive
You're a fucking that. Offensive
Swearing should be used as an occasional verbal exclamation mark and not as a comma.
I don't mind. Too excessive makes me think they have a bad temper or don't know much vocabulary. And they're best used to emphasize points at the right time. E. g., stub your toe, forget the oven was on, someone cuts you off in traffic, sex, making a funny punchline, etc etc
No. It's part of the culture and I'd have to be living under a rock to be shocked or offended by it. :D
I should add that I don't personally, but I'm used to people using certain words for emphasis when telling stories or when momentarily frustrated. If someone was swearing AT me, it means they've lost control. At which point I call in Iron Man, of course!
Totally reasonable response 😎🤓
not offend, but i also think people who cuss every minute are lame,
like myly cyrus trying to erase her sweet hanna momtana, image by saying fu every sentence.
just lame.
i don't say any of those words except when i read democrat crap... not even qualified as propaganda!
No, that's why I just bought the latest edition of Roger's Profanisaurus: "Das Krapital". Over 600 pages of dirty words and phrases!!
The only way "dirty" words can hurt you is YOU give them the power to hurt you.
Truth 💪
nope... grew up among few of them, both countries too
I can cuss in many languages lol
kurwa!!
Congrats, Charliefretz329 !!!1
@NathanDavis ffs...
@IslaTheWitch lmfao... heard it more than once during soccer matches...
guess is not a good one...
@NathanDavis it's a very offending word for a woman... offending and very bad word lol...
@IslaTheWitch then it would be more offending to a man... no wonder they say it a lot on the field
no... at least as long as someone doesn't start to call me names... then I can be offended AF :D
Like anything there is a time and place for them, if used excessively it can become a turn off for me but generally speaking I don’t mind it at all. I am glad they have become more socially acceptable
Depends if its aimed at me and the context.
I do feel It's a shame to hear swearing used so much and I don't like to hear it from children. If only people could widen their vocabulary and use other words to express themselves.
No. Most people are pretty desensitized to it. Though if they offend people I do my best not to use that language around them
FUCK NO!
Yes if they're directed at me or with actual malice/aggression legit. They offend me then. With joke, not offended
Not at all.
They help me to identify persons that are below my own level - and so it prevents me from wasting time with rabble.
Profanity as a proxy for "being below my level" is not only ignorant but also arrogant.
@DrPepper12 -
It would be arrogance in some negative sense of the term, when I'd let those know or feel it.
I know my value - which is the positive aspect of arrogance.
I don't quite see where this is related to ignorance.
Its ignorant to judge people based on their use of profanity
@DrPepper12 - my own brainwashers once said the opposite :D
I wouldn't say offend, but, it's usually a good indication that the speaker lacks class !!!
Class depends on audience, purpose and occassion - not the profanity in and of itself IMHO
No, it does not. I never use swear words and I just ignore the person who always swear words.
not a fan of people who use them in public, especially if kids are around
They do not offend me but there is really no use for them
I don't give a fuck if people want to swear. It's so common it's lost all meaning. They even do it in movies.
I do curse a lot but its not to insult people and I find it much of a bad habit but in the presence of some people that might or do find it uncomfortable, I subconsciously put on a filter
No it makes me laugh
Makes some great combo phrases 😆
I am trying to find some phases lol I’ll be back with some funny ones 😂
Great 😊 👍
I can’t find any lol they are boring ones
Sad face 😢
I know but I got a funny saying to say
Drop it 😏😼
sandwich walks into a bar. The bartender says, “Get out. We don’t serve food in here!”
Mic 🎤 drop
Oh dear haha
I don't like swearing, but I can understand why in certain situations it easily happens.
Naw, but i don't like saying them too often
Best if they fit the occasion
No "swear words" or name-calling hurts or offends me. But I offend MYSELF if I find myself using them on others.
Yes, especially in the presence of women.
No lol
As a 23 year veteran sailor, those who don’t swear seem odd lol 😆
@Miah04 body parts aren't curse words lol
Lmao 🤣
Swears... no... slurs... yes
No when I'm mad I curse a lot.
Yes. And I'm european.
So long as it's not excessive than idc
I'm known for my blue language.
Is that soap or ice cream?
I swear like a sailor
