Is the suspect alerted when someone files a police report against them?

I have a former guy friend who has been stalking and harassing me. I made a police report and submitted a non domestic PPO. Would he have been contacted by police on that day? It has me curious whether he's finally being quiet and leaving me alone for good because they told him to back off or if he's just up to more malicious crap. I hate not knowing whether to relax or stay on edge.

I have filed a police report where there were no attorneys involved and to my knowledge the other party was not informed. I know I would have heard it from this guy if he was. I’m sure that’s a simple duck-duck 🔍

If a PPP was requested, they’d have to contact him to enforce it
