@Paul_in_Indy points out that there's actually a taller "pyramid". The never-finished Ryugyong Hotel (Pyramid of Doom") in Pyongyang, North Korea is 1080 feet tall and is in the shape of a pyramid. Depends on whether you consider it since it's unfinished, and probably never will be finished.
