It depends on the design of the laptop. The danger is that you could cut off the airflow by blocking vent holes, but many newer laptops only have side vents, while others have vents on the bottom. As long as the vents aren't blocked, you are fine. If you block the vents, the laptop will overheat, which will shorten its life, sometimes dramatically.

No.. instead ur labtop harmful on ur knees if u play ur labtop way too much on it. Make sure to play ur labtop on a desk with cooling pad under ur labtop, so ur labtop not getting heated, and beside its good to ur knees, its also good to ur labtop, make ur labtop last longer

I don't think so. They're designed to be portable after all. There are vents on the bottom that you should try not to block.
