Your challenge is to identify the name of this place. Bonus if you can identify the state and its specific location.

* The first person to enter it was 16yo Annie Moore from Ireland
* It is now a National Historic Site
* It's actually located in two states

The correct answer is Ellis Island.

Its "location" is an interesting story. When it was first built, New York State claimed it since immigrants arriving on ship were arriving in New York. But the island itself is physically on the New Jersey side of the NY-NJ border. NY and NJ fought over who owned it for years. Meanwhile, the island was manually enlarged.

Finally, the courts got involved, and ruled that the original part of the island are in NY, while the enlarged part of the island is in NJ. Which, means that the NY Ellis Island is actually an enclave inside the NJ Ellis Island.
