PLEASE HELLPP ME CAN I BUY A CAR WITH NO LICENSE?

I got A couple of speeding tickets which led me to have my license suspended they said I can get a limited permit in February. But the only time my family member can take me to get a car is the second 1st of January. I have the money to buy the car but will I be able to buy the car? My family member can drive it home and test drive it and I will leave it in the garage until I’m able to get the permit and then get the plate. Will it work? Please help !!!

That might be difficult because of insurance.

You presumably cannot get insurance without a licence and someone else cannot drive your car on their insurance because to do that you also have to have insurance.

You could move the car by having the person who was going to drive it for you get temporary insurance but this is going to be fairly expensive and it may even be difficult or again expensive to get insurance on a car which isn't theirs.

You can obviously check with an insurance company but talking to insurance companies tends to be a waking nightmare, they are completely incapable of answering simple straight forward questions.

It would be risky to have the car and for it to not at least be insured against theft, just incase the worst should happen but it is presumably possible to do that without a licence.

You could get the car delivered or you could travel to get the car without your family member, in a taxi for example but again there will be some expense with both of these options. If you can get a bus there then that is probably the cheapest option assuming you are able to drive the car on your own when you have your limited permit, I dont really know what that is as I dont live in the same country as you.

So it is highly likely that there are a great many ways to go about solving this problem with varying pros, cons and costs associated and only you will be able to determine which of these options is best for you specifically.

Not having a license doesn't prevent you from buying a car. If you plan on buying it new from a dealer, call them and find out what they require. If you're not buying from a dealer, I think the seller is more interested in your money than your ability to drive.

Sure that should work, as long as you're not driving it until your license is reinstated. Don't forget to get insurance too, even if you're not driving. You want that car protected. Good luck!

Yes you can buy a car you may have problems registering it or insuring it

In my state, you have to submit proof of insurance before you can take possession of the car. I believe you need a valid license to get insurance.

Depends which country you are from. But mostly you are able to buy a new one.
