How do you get your drivers license if you don’t have anybody to let you use their car to take to the DMV or at least practice driving?

Driving lessons. You don’t necessarily need a car to get to the DMV. There’s public transit or bicycles. However, yes, it seems more logical to use a car to drive to the DMV and/or practice driving to get your license.
The issue is, not many people would just lend someone their car to practice on it if they don’t have much experience driving. Driving lessons/school is the next best option. They can be pricy, but with driving lessons/school, a driver instructor goes with you and teaches you how to drive in their cars.
Depending on your state/country, you might have a required amount of driving lessons hours (which need to be approved by driver instructor).
I been to driving school three times and none of that happened
Okay, so what did the driving school do? Are you doing behind the wheel practice?
In was written class work and they took us on the road a few times
Nobody took me to the dmv
Well, you should talk to the course instructors and ask what the next step is. I don’t know what it’s like in your location, so I can’t guide you step by step. However, you need to ask them what you can do to get more practice on the road. Ask them how much behind the wheel practice you need to do before you can get your license.
Do you think if I contact them they’ll let me just sign up for the practice driving and let me use the DMV car? Because I been through driving school 3 times and I’m tiring of the class work part
I think so. You can sign up for behind the wheel driving school, but you will have an instructor in the DMV car. You shouldn’t have to keep doing the written work if you’ve already passed that?
Just call and ask them questions, they should give you some information on what to do next, but let them know what you’ve done so far.
Buy a car. What are you going to do with your driver's license if you don't have a car?
Once you have a car and your learner's permit, go practice driving your car. Be careful, it's not your friend's car, so you are going to have to be responsible!
I got my driver's license when I was still living at home with my parent, so I was able to use their care. But later when I wanted my motorcycle license, I didn't borrow anyone's motorcycle to use. I just bought a motorcycle (for $613, so don't accuse me of being rich) and got a permit and practiced on it.
I don't understand why you need a license if you don't have a car. If it's for work, then I would have work loan you the car if they want you to have a license.
I'm in the same situation. I've got a car I can use but nobody to let me practice with. I won't need much practice because, I've already driven my band home from gigs in Youngstown and Erie several time (1.5 to 3 hour drives) and everybody's told me I'm a really good driver. But, I'm told there's a place near here that does stuff to help seniors and I should be able to get them to help me with this BUT, before I can do that, I'll need a permit and a new set of tires, insurance, an inspection sticker and probably some other work done on the car since it's been sitting for just over a year. I don't have the money for any of that!
Look around online for places near you that can help you learn to drive.
