Do lions give a f*** about the cubs of a previous lion after a take over? Does a black widow female spider care about her mate that she eats right after? Lol welcome to earth. We humans try and bring order to chaos but the world is chaotic and oftentimes brutal.

Some people's personality types lack empathy towards certain behaviours. Im speaking with my therapist hat on.
It has nothing to do with being fickle. There's lots of different types of people in life my dear.

One could also say your desire to want everyone to be empathetic can be seen as a form of control and lack of empathy.
