When people say things like that some of them are scammers while others are just bored and wants to chat with someone or tries to hit on you but don't know how to. If you respond, they continue and might even try to sext with you. They send messages to multiple women hoping one of them will show interest. I'd just ignore them.

It's so hard to tell, he could be a person who genuinely believes in such things and felt he should do a reading in you, or he could be doing it as an excuse to get in your dm's in hope of continuing to message you and getting more intimate
